Neighborhoods, parents and the surrounding community play a significant role in the success of our elementary schools. Involving key project stakeholders and the community have proven to be an invigorating and an effectively collaborative way to understand and implement the specific needs of a community and its students. An elementary school can be the first educational facility in which a child interacts. It must be a warm and welcoming place for students, parents and staff. An elementary school should fit well into its context, be distinct in its setting and provide opportunity for learning and social activities that exceed the community's expectations.
