Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center

Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center

Client: Mukilteo School District
Size: 98,581 sf
Location: Everett, WA

Sno-Isle Tech Skills Center, administered by the Mukilteo School District, offers technical training for high school students from Arlington, Darrington, Edmonds, Everett, Granite Falls, Lake Stevens, Lakewood, Marysville, Monroe, Mukilteo, Skykomish, Snohomish, South Whidbey and Sultan School Districts. Students spend half of their day at Sno-Isle Tech and a half day at their home high school.
This project sought to re-organize and expand educational programs within four buildings on campus while providing increased efficiency and cooperation. This $13 million project consists of 26,200 s.f. of modernization and 19,300 s.f. of additions over two phases and was completed in July 2010. In addition to major improvements to the learning environment, the project also established a more identifiable and welcoming “front door” to the campus and improved the overall aesthetic of this 30-year-old campus through comprehensive façade improvements, daylighting interior spaces and greater identity for the individual programs.
The nineteen courses offered at Sno-Isle Tech are organized in five different career pathways: Science & Health; Business, Marketing & Management; Information Technology; Human Services; Trade & Industry; Horticulture and Construction Trades. The Culinary Arts program features the "Le Bistro" cafe, open to the public for lunch.
