Ashlie Smith

Intern Architect

Architecture is rewarding for me for many different reasons. I get to be creative and solve problems while enjoying a constant opportunity to learn and grow. I get the chance to work with many different types of people in and outside of the office. It is rewarding to see a project grow from our client’s initial goals, through design development, and finally to how the building positively impacts users upon completion. I believe there is something truly meaningful in the fact that the buildings we design can help inspire others.

McGranahan Architects has created an environment that is full of people who are passionate, hardworking, dedicated, fun, and caring. It means a lot to me to be a part of a firm that truly cares about their employees’ success and supports my aspiration to become a licensed Architect. I strive to be well-rounded; someone who is proficient in working on all aspects of a project from code-related issues to helping clients’ goals become a reality. I want to be the best person I can be; someone who is hard working, helps others, and someone people can rely on.
