I joined McGranahan Architects in 1986 and became a partner in 1993. We focused the firm direction on design excellence, accomplished by a vibrant and creative team, while maintaining committed long-term client relationships. In 2000, as Tacoma revitalized and expanded its downtown core, we moved the firm into the historic Bone Dry Shoe building.
At the beginning of 2008, I sold my interest in the firm, and spent some time traveling the world to see some amazing sights, meet new friends and family, and drink some famously-produced Old World Wine.
I currently serve as the Principal for Quality Assurance, working with project teams to produce construction documents that are clear and concise, accomplishing design intent within the prescribed budget. McGranahan Architects’ approach to creating architecture has always been team-oriented, and I strive on a daily basis to refine and improve this vital aspect of how we work and succeed together on each project.
