Architecture solidifies memory to place and inspires character and aspirations. This sentiment is echoed significantly especially with the work McGranahan does in the creation of spaces that are specific to inspire and aspire young minds for a positive and promising future.

As an intern Architectural design student in the University of Washington in the office, being involved in the design teams and actively participating in the design process highlights the deep collaborative effort with the community needed to produce a design that speaks to everyone and most importantly strengthens ties with everyone involved and beyond.

Outside of my internship, I volunteer and work with OneVibe Africa – a non-profit organization based in Seattle and Kenya.
