Intern Architect

As an Intern Architect, I am getting my feet wet on a variety of different projects. Since architecture school, I have always been fascinated with high performance, green buildings and how the building relates to the occupants. I love the idea of buildings not only minimizing their environmental footprint but also providing healthy, comfortable and stimulating environments for people. I put this philosophy to practice in my own life; practicing eco-conscious behaviors at home, such as recycling and reducing energy/water consumption, is how I stays true to myself and my core values, especially if I wish to promote high performance, sustainable building practices to others.

My past involvement with the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) as both event coordinator and fundraising chair has helped me grow into a responsive and dependable leader. In a team, I have learned to tackle problems as a collaborative group while encouraging and supporting others whenever possible. As a newlywed husband and new resident to Washington, I am excited to start a family with my wife and explore the Pacific Northwest. While balancing life at home, my short-term goals are to pursue an architecture license and LEED AP BD+C accreditation. In the long term, I aspire to become a project manager as well as a principle/partner of an architecture firm.
