Science Building Predesign

Higher Ed

Saint Martin’s University is planning for the growth of their STEM oriented programs. They recently completed their new LEED platinum engineering building and intend to add a new Science building to support, Science, Math, Engineering and Nursing programs. The new building is placed between an existing meadow on the north end of campus, the new engineering building and the main campus library.

The project is proposed to be approximately 26,000 square feet and will house Chemistry, Physics, Biology, general instructional needs, faculty offices and support spaces. The building is conceived as a collection of science oriented vessels that are purposefully arranged to support formal and programmatic intentions. The concept includes the use and connection of outdoor learning, student gathering, display space, as well as an extension of the campus infrastructure to the north.
