Erin Anderson

Staff Architect

I’m motivated by a desire to learn. I consider myself a lifelong student, always wanting to learn more and ask questions—about a hobby I’m interested in, a houseplant I recently adopted, or the history of a national park I’ve visited.

My past experience in architecture is primarily with existing buildings. Many of the buildings were designated historic landmarks. I’ve worked on a wide variety of projects—from accessibility improvements to window restoration, from barns to libraries to a historic high rise. Even though the projects were varied in scale and type, the buildings were often well-loved community assets and it was always rewarding to see the significance of the finished work to the community.

I was impressed with the high quality of design at McGranahan and encouraged by the possibility to have an impact on learning environments as a designer. I’m fascinated by our world, both natural and built, and strive to make a positive difference in the way people might interact with the built environment.
