Senior Managing Principal Northwest Region
As Senior Managing Principal of the Northwest Region, I oversee firm operations while focusing much of my work on K–12 educational projects. As Principal in Charge, I lead community outreach and engagement, particularly during early planning, and stay closely involved from concept through building opening. I value hands-on leadership and building lasting relationships with clients.
I work with school districts, colleges, and universities to create learning environments that reflect the unique goals of each community. I lead project teams in meeting client objectives while supporting professional growth, and I find the greatest reward in developing thoughtful, customized design solutions rather than repeating a signature style.
The most successful learning facilities are created through collaboration with their communities, and in turn, provide places that improve, inspire, and strengthen the communities they serve. I have seen students’ lives transformed through education, and I engage in organizations that support students of all ages, especially foundations at colleges and school districts. I currently serve as Board President of the Clover Park Technical College Foundation.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing music with friends. While I find my career in architecture very rewarding, I still hold out hope my band will get back together for a future rock star reunion tour someday.
