Kate Frisbie, AIA, NCARB

Project Manager

I am passionate about creating learning environments that are functional, engaging, and enduring. My career has focused on educational, teaching, and learning spaces, giving me the opportunity to work in a variety of roles—from design professional to representing the owner, and as a Project Planner and Project Manager at Seattle Pacific University. These experiences have allowed me to be involved in all phases of project development, from assessing existing conditions and programming to concept development, design, and construction.

At McGranahanPBK, I work directly with K–12, community and technical colleges, and university clients through on-call and small works agreements. As a Project Manager, I oversee all phases of each project element, coordinating specialty design consultants, developing construction documents, and interfacing with local jurisdictions to ensure projects meet their goals and serve the users effectively. I find it especially rewarding to improve the client and user experience while extending the life and impact of the buildings we design.

I am also committed to supporting the design community and emerging professionals. I have served on the AIA Southwest Washington Board, chaired two fundraising auctions, and co-chaired AIA Seattle’s Committee on Architecture for Education. At McGranahanPBK, I champion emerging architects as an NCARB AXP Coordinator, helping guide the next generation of design leaders.
